Report from Ranchi Distribution

Dear Partners in Christ,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that you are all doing well. I would like to share with you about my recent trip to office at Eastern India. I had a blessed time meeting people and also sharing with pastors and churches about our ministry and how unique our ministry really is. In this email I would like to share my experience in Eastern India. I hope this encourages you in your ministry as well.

My first few days were spent at Bhubaneshwar - Orissa. As some of you may already know that this state in India has always been known for its unwillingness to accept Christians and the Gospel.

Many of our digital players are being used in areas where there is severe persecution. In spite of this unwillingness towards the Gospel, it was hearting to see how God has worked among these people and many of them are coming to know the Lord - Praise God. We had a small conference amongst the Christians who were Government Officials while in Orissa and they were thrilled to hear about how God had used the Audio Bibles to help change and transform lives. It was a wonderful speaking to them about how they can help support and provide for WCOI. Many of them also promised to help support our ministry as well.

We traveled to the state of Jharkhand later that day. The local pastor had arranged for a distribution in a small town called Khunti the following Sunday. Since we had a lot of time in our hands we decided to make the most of it by visiting a few local ministries and also looking for opportunities to partner with Local mission agencies. It was during this visit that I met the State Director of Bible League, Rev Kasi Mani. He was very interested with our Digital Bibles and wanted to take it to pastors and families who lived in interior villages were literacy was almost 0%. We are looking for ways by which we could work together and help get some players to these pastors. Let us know if you would like to sponsor an Audio Bible for a needy family.
That Sunday we were able to distribute as well as speak in a few local churches as to how God is able to touch lives by using such a small gadget for His glory. Many pastors expressed great interest in using these Audio Bibles for their congregations. Most members in their church were illiterate and those who knew to read were not fluent in their reading as well. One person who took our Digital bible is an Auto Rickshaw driver. He was planning to fix our player to his Auto and make all the people who board his Rickshaw hear the Bible. It was exciting to see the enthusiastic crowd watch us demonstrate the Digital Bible. We are planning to go back sometime soon with more players for the many who were not able to receive one this time around.
